Heartland Priorities
Each year, the Heartland Steering Committee identifies key priorities for the next school year during an annual Strategic Planning Session. Current priority initiatives include:
Communications
Utilize a variety of methods to communicate the importance of education, highlighting accomplishments and identifying challenges and continue support for OrrViews, a publication of the Heartland Education Community, Inc.
Character Education and Words of the Month
Continue to promote character education in the schools and in the community, while connecting character education lessons to life through activities and practice.

Heartland Point
At Heartland, our priorities are to work to improve educational opportunities within the City of Orrville. To that end, we employ a variety of volunteer-led programs; assist with efforts aimed to increase traffic, increase participation in classes and events and increase volunteer participation.
Orrville City Schools Strategic Planning
Develop the framework for a three to five year plan for the direction of the Orrville City Schools including the following elements:
- Communication of complex topics
- Celebration of successes
- Support network of technical expertise
- Inroads into all segments of the Orrville community
