Get to Know Rails-to-Trails of Wayne County

There’s no better time than now to get out and explore the outdoors on Wayne County’s rail-trails. These multipurpose public paths are created from former railroad corridors and are perfect for activities such as walking, biking, wheelchair use, and incline skating. Join Rails-to-Trails of Wayne County’s Board Secretary, Jenni Reusser, and the Heartland Trail Manager, Becky Jewell, to learn more about the rail-trail movement that has created more than 24,000 miles of rail-trails nationwide and a total of 21 miles in Wayne County. Jenni and Becky will share Rails-to-Trails of Wayne County’s history, the current status of the Heartland Trail and how the community of Orrville will benefit.
