Join WKSU for an engaging workshop about media and its increasing complexity. WKSU hears from listeners and news consumers regularly that they are overwhelmed by the vast array of platforms that distribute news and information. WKSU will guide class participants through the history of the media landscape, particularly in recent years, and offer participants practical definitions and guidelines to give participants the confidence and knowledge to be a savvy news consumer. WKSU will explore local, national, and global media – and provide tips for determining the type of information being offered and the veracity of that information. Following the presentation, there will be a question and answer discussion, please come with comments, stories, and questions.
