Sign Language for Kids: Second Session - CANCELLED

Play and Sign time! A new language for the whole family, sign language involves using your hands, body and facial expressions to communicate with those around you. American Sign Language (ASL) is considered a "foreign" language even though it was developed in the United States. During the class, your children will learn everyday signs, songs, and games. Research shows that sign language has many benefits for young children, including reduced frustration, increased IQ scores, and increased reading, vocabulary and spelling skills. The children will learn on their own for the first 90 minutes of the class; the last 30 minutes parents are encouraged to come back and see what the kids have learned. The class is divided into two groups, this first session is for kids in fourth through sixth grade.

If interested in this class please contact Heartland Point for details about future sign language classes.
