Heartland Point

A Connecting Place

Heartland Point is a community connecting place in downtown Orrville where people of all ages can find out what is happening in the community, become more involved, and engage in lifelong learning. It is the physical location for the activities of the Heartland Education Community, Inc., and is located across from City Hall on North Main Street.

A Part of Downtown Revitalization

The facility is a former bank building, originally constructed in 1966, that was donated to the Heartland Education Community, Inc., in April of 2005 from National City Bank. A favorite part of the renovation is the Toy Vault, which is the original money vault from the bank now filled with toys and books for youngsters to enjoy. The door no longer closes so parents can allow children to play worry-free.

A Place to Unwind

Heartland Point is a comfortable place to gather with friends or family. The large fireplace on the south side of the main floor provides a cozy backdrop for the soft seating area where visitors can drink coffee, read the paper, use the complimentary wireless Internet, or just talk. There are several tables as well as counter seating available for patrons to enjoy the delicious and affordable meals, snacks, and coffee from Heartland Point Café.
